Margaret Embleton Award

Margaret Rebecca Embleton was a member of Soroptimist International of Salt Lake from 1936 to 1999 when she died at the age of 91.

This award is in remembrance of Margaret Embleton and her service to the women and at-risk youth in the Salt Lake area during her lifetime.

The Margaret Embleton Award rewards and acknowledges three middle school at-risk girls who have improved their attendance, citizenship, or have overcome obstacles as students.

The deserving students and family members are then invited to an Awards ceremony to receive a certificate of achievement and a gift.

A letter is also sent to the school for presentation among their peers.
