Nindy Le - 1st Place
Our First Place winner was Ngoc “Nindy” Le who received $2,300.
Nindy attends Salt Lake Community College where she is working on an Associate’s Degree in Sociology. She enjoys working with people, particularly youth.
In 2012, she served on the Utah Board of Juvenile Justice. She wants to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Psychology, attend law school and eventually work with troubled youth.
Nindy is a single parent raising a 5 year old son.
Leilah Khan-Lara
2nd Place
Our Second Place winner was Leilah Khan-Lara. Leilah has been accepted into the Mountainland Applied Technology College’s LPN program.
She wants to obtain a dual Bachelor’s of Science in Biology and Nursing with a Minor in Native American studies.
Her course work has been taken at both Utah Valley University and Salt Lake Community College. The second place cash award was $2,000.
She is a single parent raising a daughter and a nephew.
