Soroptimist International of the Americas helps to support the 'Women and Technology Program' for Soroptimist International of Miranda, Venezuela. Their new computer center provides computer training to women and girls of all ages. The basic computer skills learned by these women enable them to have more work opportunities. Previously their choice was limited to domestic service and cleaning.

The course is also taught to adolescent orphans, providing them with additional work skills so that when they leave the orphanage their job opportunities will be increased. SI of Salt Lake provides the salary for the teacher.
